De tulpen staan in bloei! Dit is voor Linda en Bas de aanleiding om in de auto te stappen. Langs de kleurrijke tulpenvelden in de Noordoostpolder is een heuse tulpenroute uitgezet – een terugkerend spektakel in de Flevopolders. Bezoekers komen van heinde en ver om de tulpen te bewonderen. Maar welke relatie hebben de tulpen eigenlijk met de Noordoostpolder?
Rijd je kriskras door de polder, dan kom je vele bijzondere namen tegen. Eigenlijk staan we er nooit bij stil, maar waar komt een naam als ‘Weg van Ongenade’ eigenlijk vandaan? Wat is de ‘Rotterdamse Hoek’? Waar verwijst de ‘Polenweg’ naar? Onderweg stoppen Linda en Bas bij deze raadselachtige plekken.
